Discover How to Burn 100 Calories in 10 Minutes

Strapped for time but need to get a workout in? By choosing the right exercises, you can burn 100 calories in no time—in 10 minutes to be exact! Squeeze in any of these 3 calorie-zapping workouts indoors or out in just 600 seconds.

Jumping Rope

Grab a jump rope to not only burn calories, but to improve your agility, tone your legs, rear, shoulders and arms. Jumping is one of the few ways to get your heart rate up quickly. If you can’t jump for 10 minutes straight, try going as hard as you can for 40 seconds, count how many jumps you can do, then rest for 20. Every minute you start again, try to top your previous count.

Sprints + Cardio

Adding some intervals to your run will burn more calories. Find a hill or stairs nearby and sprint up it for 15 seconds. Take 30 seconds to recover and then repeat 10 times. You can add speed intervals to almost any cardio exercise. Try it the next time you go for a run, a bike ride or use the elliptical at the gym.

Plyometrics

These explosive, equipment-free exercises will help you burn more calories and work several muscles at once. You don’t even need equipment and can still burn 100 calories in 10 minutes if you’re keeping your intensity levels up. Be sure to transition quickly from move to move and fit in as many reps as you can.

Make those minutes count and try these calorie blasting exercises today!
